What concerns you?

I’ve decided instead of me posting things of my interest (related to Islam ofcourse) that I ask my readers (if I have any, haha) to come forward and raise some topics that we can discuss about? What do you think? Anyway, this could well not work if I dont get any response, but I’ll still give it a go!

  1. Salams sis!
Just thought Id pop in and say salams :)
I’d like to see a topic started about Muslim women and the shariah, what do you think? There is such a stark contrast between the values that Muslim women adhere to and those of the West, and the way it views women.

  2. erm…

how you are overcoming bringing children up with islam?

what evidences and quotes keep you motivated when you have to deal with the stresses of motherhood?

  3. JazakAllah khair sis UmmRuqaya,
Apologies I have been quite busy and didnt have time to check my blog for quite some time now. I will take all the comments into consideration, 2 comments that is. IM glad at that too, as I havent even started on these. Anyway, please make dua so I could use my time wisely.

  4. As Salaam Alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

I see this is quite an old post, however, I would like to see posts defending Islamic values especially concerning women’s rights. The kuffar in the west of launched a feminist assault on Islam and we need strong passionate writing from the Muslim sisters to counter and rebut their claims.

    Jazak Allah Khair

    • Walaikum Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,

JazakAllah for your comments. I have been quite busy lately and these posts are quite old. InshaAllah I will try to gather more interesting articles concerning muslim women. Just briefly, with regards to the laws and obligations placed on the muslimah, realise that these are from Allah swt, the All knowing, All wise, which puts us in no position to try to justify and rationalise with our limited and inevitably bias minds. Our belief is rational and it is the truth, it can be proven that Allah swt (The God of all the other Prophets) sent us the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final messenger, and quite easily for anyone to understand. Once we know that, everything in the Quran and authentic Sunnah are established truth and guidance for mankind. Sisters shouldn’t fall into the trap of trying to justify hijab with anything other than it is a commandment from God, as with the rest of her obligations. Sure she can outline countless benefits, which there are, but those are secondary to obedience to Allah swt. Instead stick to the core belief which is where all other religions fail the test in terms of authenticity and rationality. It goes to show Islam is the final message from Allah swt from mankind. I hope that helps!
